CURRENT EVENTS
I am currently working on new screenplay and loving every minute I spend at the keyboard.
Work is progressing on the musical based upon my comedy ALL HANDS ON DICK. I've written the lyrics for five new songs. Twenty songs altogether. I'll be posting more news soon, including information on the multi-talented composer scoring the project.
On August 13th, I completed my 30th screenplay LONDONAUTS.
My wife Virginia's new website is up and running. Check it out here.
As of June 22nd, Virginia has been cancer-free for five years!
New funding options have opened up for my comedy THE BOOT.
On April 16th, I attended a breakfast conference in Santa Monica sponsored by Film France detailing the national and regional benefits of shooting in France. Everyone I met had a warm, welcoming positive attitude. The wealth of information provided was exceptional.
On March 8th, my producer Ann Luly and I attended a conference funded by the Italian Film Commission on tax incentives available to productions shooting in Italy. We had a great time and met some very interesting people...all of which puts us that much closer to filming THE BOOT.
For anyone with a Kindle ebook reader, my novel paraMADics is now available on Amazon.

Based on my cousin's six year stint as an Emergency Medical Technician, paraMADics tells the true coming-of-age story of Mark Bascomb's roller coaster entry into the world of the EMT where the difference between life and death is often measured in seconds.
From gunshot victims to attempted suicides, to coping with chronic alcoholics and traffic accidents in the dead of night, Bascomb works horrendously long hours alongside a dedicated team of medical misfits where he discovers that sometimes being crazy is all that keeps you from going insane.
Clicking on the cover will take you to Amazon where paraMADics is available for immediate download to your Kindle or PC. A Mac version of the software will soon be released.
An ebook version of paraMADics will soon be available for The Nook. Both versions can be read on the iPad.
My beautiful sixteen-month-old granddaughter Charlotte just had her first haircut.

On April 10th, 2009 at 8:20AM, we welcomed the birth of our first grandchild, Charlotte Marie.
Baby Charlotte weighed in at 6lbs. 13oz. and, in the spirit of full disclosure, I must confess that she's absolutely gorgeous! Virginia and I could not be happier or more proud!

In March of last year I was thrilled to reoption the rights to Filaree, a novel by Marguerite Noble that tells the true story of her mother's incredible life in Arizona that begins with the birth of her eighth child in 1910 and continues for another sixty years.
My screenplay adaptation of the book brings Filaree to life.
To recap earlier news:
2008 saw my brother Mark and I complete our tenth collaboration...a comedy titled BEST WESTERN.
In August 2008 I had an article published in the Broker Dealer Journal detailing the landmark arbitration case of Stephen B. Sawtelle vs. Waddell and Reed, Inc. that will go down in Wall Street history as the longest arbitration and the largest punitive damage award ever given to a financial advisor.
My friend and associate, Sydney LeBlanc, and I intend bringing Sawtelle's story, which we've titled Arrogance of Power, to the screen.

2007 saw the completion of two new scripts, including a screenplay adaptation of paraMADics, my coming-of-age novel based upon my cousin's six years as an Emergency Medical Technician.
The second script written in 2007 was SHELL SHOCKED, another in the growing line of comedies written with my brother.
Finally, when I'm not writing, I'm singing online karaoke at SingSnap where I perform under the name of Katalog. This musical addiction has been going on for close to three years. Currently, I have more than 600 songs in my library. Clicking here will take you to the site. Once there, click on "Recordings" and you'll have access to my songs. Enjoy!
